Summer Camp COVID-19 Updates and Guidelines
{Alabama Dept of Health guidelines can change daily. Please check this post for continued updates on precautions we are taking to keep campers safe.}
Recently, I posted some of the COVID-19 precautions we will be taking at manners camp this summer. I’ve decided to list them in a more defined way so that you, parents can know exactly what specific measures we will be taking. The guidelines set by the Alabama Health Dept. are designed to keep us all safe while we reconnect. Here at camp, we share that philosophy; so we will be following those guidelines and updating them here regularly.
So here’s what you can expect from us:
*Before your child arrives at camp each day, chairs, desks, work areas and materials will be sprayed with disinfectant and placed with appropriate distancing.
*We have reduced the limit of campers per most sessions from 10 to 6.
*Our classroom setting will be well ventilated with ample circulation and windows open.
*At the beginning of each session, campers will be greeted with smiles and a temperature swipe. Instructors and counselors will be wearing masks.
*Each camper will be provided with their own chair, desk and individual materials touched only by them.
*In addition to their work materials, individual disposable masks, hand sanitizer and kleenex will be included. New masks will be provided each day and latex-free gloves will be available, but optional.
*We will be practicing lots of hand washing!
*Some of our activities will take us outside, which will give us even more room for spacing.
We do expect our campers and parents to take certain precautions to help us at Properly Polished keep everyone safe while having fun learning about manners. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
