Mad About Manners High School Gentlemen 2022
The Mad About Manners for high school program is a 4 day Sunday afternoon series designed to further promote social awareness. Peer pressure, driving etiquette, dating, basic resume and job interviewing skills, advanced table manners and dance lessons.
As teens advance to high school, the challenges of peer pressure and more social opportunities arise. It is more important than ever that they are equipped with the self confidence it takes to make good choices. Our Mad About Manners series helps to build on that confidence so your teens feel good about who they are and the decisions they make. Classes are designed to "meet the student where he or she is right now" so previous participation in one of our classes is not necessary.
Class Details:
Gentlemen Only Meetings Time: 3:00pm to 4:00pm -Sundays- Jan/23, Jan/30,Feb/06
Coed Meeting: 12:30pm - 2:30pm, Sunday, February 13th
Grades: 9th-12th Grade Gentlemen
Class Location: 900 Carmelian Street, Huntsville, AL 35801
Day I - Effective Communication: improving communication skills through social media with peers, teachers, parents, and prospective employers. Proper introductions, the handshake, basic interviewing skills, resume building, and thank you notes.
Day II - Appearance: Appropriate dress, posture, and hygiene inside and out (What we consume affects how we feel) Boys will learn how to properly tie a tie; Girls will enjoy a talk on skincare.
Day III - Social Behavior: Dating, Prom, Driving Etiquette. Discussions on how we act affect our world; applying what we believe to our surroundings.
Day IV - This final Sunday will be a 2-hour girls and boys class. They will enjoy a 4-course meal while practicing advanced table manners. Hands-on instruction includes table behavior, posture, and proper use and placement of napkin and utensils. This will be followed by a one-hour dance lesson.
